Neelu recently published her first book, Be Your Own Cheerleader, which focuses on self-advocacy for Asian & South Asian Womyn.
Neelu has coached thousands of professionals in Corporate America since 2009. In the past twelve years of coaching, she has worked with hundreds of Asian and South Asian women and recognized a pattern of discomfort and lack of skills relating to self-promotion. Prior to becoming an executive coach, she thought self-promotion was something only she struggled with. As she worked with more and more Asian and South Asian professional women, she became very curious about the arena of self-advocacy and self-promotion. Neelu soon realized that this was a pattern, and based on research, she began to hypothesize on the potential reasons why self-promotion is such a struggle for this demographic. Through her deep exploration of NLP, she began practicing techniques on herself that allowed her to move past the inner struggles with self-advocacy. Using NLP concepts and techniques, she was able to provide tactical steps to her clients to access inner resources and become more comfortable with self-promotion.
Neelu Kaur’s book, Be Your Own Cheerleader: An Asian and South Asian Woman’s Cultural, Psychological, and Spiritual Guide to Self-Promote at Work, is published by Post Hill Press.
