Book Marketing and Publicity

As your book marketing agency and trusted partners, our primary goal is to raise awareness of your book, and get you coverage in print media (magazines and newspapers), broadcast media (TV and radio), online media (blogs and online publications) and sell as many copies of your book as possible, as well as to create other opportunities for you as an author, speaker, and/or expert.
To get the best results, it is crucial that your online presence looks professional, including your website, social media profiles, Amazon Author and Book pages, and Goodreads author page. If you have any gaps in this area, our Platform Packages can help you.
Our book marketing and publicity campaigns are designed to be six months long (four months before the publication of your book and two months after). However, even if you are short on time, or you’ve already released your book, contact us anyway. We know how to publicize a book on a short timeline: guerrilla marketing methods and viral campaigns can work miracles.
Our campaigns are tailored to the book at hand, but our methods include:
- Integrated book promotion strategies
- Press release creation and distribution
- Book trailer production
- Creating a custom press kit for your book
- Targeted media outreach
- Guest blogging outreach
- Social media and blog outreach to influencers and fans
- Galley outreach and review solicitation
- Planning your book launch event locally or digitally
- Scheduling book signings and author readings
- Scheduling interviews
- Getting you book reviews
- Setting up a Blog tour
- Earning you blog mentions, bylines, and opportunities for expert commentary
- Book advertising in niche outlets and on social media
- Book marketing and pay-per-click campaigns on Facebook, Google Adwords, etc.
- Submitting your book to awards and for inclusion on lists
- Creating a list of other authors to serve as your publicity partners and contacting them for cross promotion
- Creating and managing your email list to stay in touch with fans and readers
- Organizing raffles of your book to reach more fans
- Anything else that helps with publicizing a book in your field or genre
The above are just examples of our book marketing services. We will tailor our marketing and publicity campaign to your book after meeting you, reading it, and outlining a detailed plan. We will take care of all graphic design, multimedia, photography, signage, copywriting, and other material design, creation, and distribution, as needed, in house.
Let’s discuss how we can promote your book!
FAQ about our Book Promotion Services
How far in advance should I start a book publicity campaign?
The best time to start is 4–6 months before your publication date. This allows us to:
- Secure early media coverage and advance reviews
- Pitch major outlets before their editorial deadlines
- Position you for conference and speaking invitations
- Arrange bookstore events for your tour
For authors coming to us post-publication, we also offer second-wave publicity campaigns to reignite attention and extend your book’s reach.
What kind of results can I expect?
Our clients regularly appear in top-tier media, secure high-profile speaking engagements, and position themselves as leading voices in their fields.
Some clients receive up to 65 engagements per campaign, far exceeding the industry norms of 10-12 results per campaign. See our case studies for real results.
Do you work with self-published authors?
Yes, if the book’s quality meets traditional publishing standards. We work with select self-published authors whose books are well-produced and positioned for serious book publicity and expert positioning. If your book aligns with our areas of expertise, we can develop a strategy to maximize its reach.
Can’t I just promote my book myself?
You are expected to promote it yourself. A campaign is always a collaboration between the author, the publisher, and the third party book publicist and book marketing agency (or in this case, the Coriolis team). As far as taking on the role of additional publicist+marketer+influencer outreach person+ event planner + graphic designer + website designer, do you have the time, skills, industry connections, and expertise to do it at the highest level? If not, that’s where Coriolis comes in.
As most authors understand, book PR isn’t just about sending emails. It requires:
- Knowing which journalists, podcasters, and event organizers will be interested in your book
- Crafting pitches that break through inbox clutter and get timely responses
- Helping you navigate media interviews with confidence and clarity
- Building a lasting professional presence that extends beyond one book
We bring deep industry connections, a strategic approach, and execution support so you can focus on your part of the work while we handle the promotion.
And we bring a team to the table that offers much more than just publicity. We handle marketing, events, website design, graphic design, research, and strategy, among other services, which would be hard for someone to handle themselves or to build a team around for the sake of one book.
